Register entry 297 - Raymond Auzias-Turenne
Visited the Bell Farm on May 26, 1891 - Raymond Auzias-Turenne (1861-1940) was a French aristocrat and author who owned the Fleur-de-Lys Ranch (a thoroughbred stud farm) in the Black Hills, South Dakota. After the ranch burned down in 1890, he moved to Montreal. where he was the manager of the Haras National Company. He went to Dawson City as the French-Consul for France and, after 5 years, relocated to Seattle where he ran a successful bank. He visited the Bell Farm on May 26, 1891, possibly en route to the Klondike.
