Additional information helpful for teachers when visiting with their class.
+ What can I expect when I arrive?
Upon arriving you will be greeted by a guide who will look after you throughout your visit. There will be spaces available for student storage (backpacks, coats, boots, etc). Depending on your choice of programming, the guide will set expectations and share guidelines for a safe visit with your class.
+ What facilities do you have?
Our first floor is wheelchair accessible; however, our second floor is not. There is a separate building on the property that holds our handicap accessible washroom facility. We also have souvenirs available for sale at our entrance kiosk.
+ What are your hours of operation?
We are open May to September, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
+ How many adult supervisors should accompany my class?
We suggest that K-Grade 3 classes provide 1 adult for every 4 students, and Grade 4-6 classes provide 1 adult per 8 students visiting.
+ Is there a concession?
No, we don’t have any food service on-site so bringing a packed lunch is required. Your guide will discuss eating spaces when you arrive (e.g., picnic outdoors or upstairs in the loft in the case of inclement weather). If you are looking to have a catered lunch, we have some recommended contacts:
