 About the Bell Barn Society

Growing the museum and supporting the community.

The Bell Barn Society is a group of passionate community members that act as the stewards of the historic Bell Barn. Our goal is to offer an opportunity to discover and interact with a piece of Saskatchewan’s history while also providing a welcoming space for the community to gather in the spirit of the Barn’s past.

Through the Bell Barn, we provide educational programs and leisurely tours of the grounds that encourage enjoyment and education. In addition to learning about the history of the Bell Barn itself, we hope to leave visitors with a greater understanding of agriculture, the Saskatchewan landscape and the people who call it home.

Bell Barn Interpretive Centre

 Our Interpretive Centre

A chance to revisit the history through the Bell Barn museum

On the main floor of the barn, you will find the interpretive centre where we provide historical information relevant to when the Bell Barn was first built. You can explore the period and all of its intricacies from community establishment, agricultural practices and the arrival of the Qu’Appelle Valley Farming Company (The Bell Farm’s original title). These passages are taken from historical documents collected over the years and edited to provide a glimpse into the world that made the Bell Farm a focal point for the country’s agricultural development.
