EBERTS, Hermann Joseph
Bell Farm Investor
Hermann Joseph Eberts (1842-1906) was a McGill educated lawyer and a descendant of Austrian nobility. (At one point the family name was recorded as "von Eberts".)
Eberts had business interests in both Chatham, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and was one of the original investors in the Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company in 1884.
The Eberts family lived in Indian Head from 1882 to 1883 and again from 1885 to 1887, when they moved back to Winnipeg. Hermann died in Victoria, British Columbia in 1906.
