PASQUA, Chief and teepees on the Bell Farm, c1883

Chief Pasqua was photographed in 1883 by Hall and Lowe of Winnipeg, who took over 20 pictures of the Bell Farm that year for the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Historical records and several photographs indicate that a significant number of Indigenous people were employed at the Bell Farm, particularly at harvest time. This encampment was on the Farm.
