SELWYN, Dr. Alfred - British Association Member - 1884

Alfred Selwyn was the Director of the Geological Survey of Canada from 1869-1894.

In 1871 Selwyn headed up the geological survey of British Columbia. He is shown seated on the left and the man behind him,leaning against the window, is Adiel Sherwood Hall, assistant commissary paymaster and Major Bell's half brother.
