LONGSTAFF, George Blundell - British Association Member - 1884


George Blundell Longstaff (1849-1921) was a noted entomologist, author and a member of the British Association delegation that visited the Farm on Sept 23 1884.

He married his first wife - Sara Leam Dixon - in 1874; and his second wife - Mary Jane Donald - in 1906.

He gave his address as London and Morthoe. Morthoe is a village in Devon in the west of England and Longstaff had a country house there from 1881. In London he lived at addresses in Wandsworth and at a house called "Highlands" on Putney Heath.
