Register entry 280 - Louis Arthur Audette
Visited the Bell Farm on June 25, 1890. Louis Arthur Audette (1856-1942) was a Quebec lawyer and later a federal judge. On Nov. 8, 1887, Audette was appointed Registrar of the Court of Exchequer of Canada, at the same time as George Wheelock Burbidge was appointed Judge of that Court. Both men were based out of Ottawa. On June 25, 1890 Audette and his boss, Judge Burbidge, visited the Bell Farm.
In 1895 Audette published "The Practice of the Exchequer Court of Canada", and a second edition in 1909.
He was appointed a Judge of the Exchequer Court of Canada in 1912.
