Register entry 279 - George Wheelock Burbidge
Visited the Bell Farm on June 25, 1890. - George Wheelock Burbidge was a lawyer, civil servant, judge, and author. Burbidge was the Deputy Minister of Justice and the prosecuting lawyer for the Crown Council during Louis Riel's trial in 1885. He was appointed Judge of the Exchequer Court of Canada in 1887.
Burbidge signed the Visitors Register at the Bell Farm on June 25, 1890, accompanied by the Registrar of the Exchequer Court - Louis Arthur Audette.
