Register entry 222 - Dr. G. Pearson Bell


Visited the Bell Farm on August 14, 1886 - George Pearson Bell was a surgeon in Qu'Appelle (from 1886 to 1895) and signed the Register the year he arrived from England. In 1893 he approached the NWMP (North-West Mounted Police) for employment, and was appointed District Medical Officer with the Mounties two years later. He then moved to Regina.

While living in Qu'Appelle in 1892, Dr. Bell also served as president of the Royal Standard Lodge of the Sons of England.

Later, in 1905, Pearson Bell ventured up to the Arctic with the NWMP.
