Professor Henry Tanner
This Album deals with the various settlement proposals that Professor Henry Tanner, from England, proposed to both Major Bell and Lord Brassey during the 1880s and 1890s. This initially focused on establishing an Agricultural College on the Bell Farm, based out of the two storey brick Bell Hotel in Indian Head, and later was directed towards the establishment of The Albany Settlement between Indian Head and Qu'Appelle, on lands sold by Major Bell to Lord Brassey.
