Register entry 276 - Sir William John Menzies

Visited the Bell Farm on April 13, 1889 - Sir W. John Menzies (1834-1905), was the managing director of the Scottish American Investment Company in the late 1880. He travelled frequently to North America on business, including this 1889 trip when he was accompanied by his wife Annie Percival Menzies (Register Entry # 277).

Menzies stopped by the Bell Farm as his firm - the Scottish American Investment Company - had helped Major Bell to refinance the Farm after the 1886 collapse of the original Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company.
