Register entry 171 - George Alfred Henty


Visited the Bell Fam on June 10, 1885 - George Alfred Henty was a war correspondent for the 'London Standard' and one of only 2 foreign journalists reporting on the Rebellion. Henty arrived May 9th and was with the troops on the first day of Batoche. He went onto become a hugely popular author of boys' adventure tales.
