Register entry 166 - Daniel Miller - Banker
Visited the Bell Farm on April 22, 1885 along with H.J. Eberts, one of the Farm's investors.
Daniel Miller (1839-1931), born in Gloucester, England, and came to Canada in 1866.
He was employed by the Merchants Bank of Canada at Owen Sound and Lindsay, Ontario before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1883, where he served as manager until 1889. That year Miller became manager of the Merchants Bank in Toronto, retiring in 1905.
In 1910 he was a founding member of the Ontario Parole Board and from 1911 served on the University of Toronto Board of Governors until his passing in 1931.
