Register entry 159 - Daniel Gideon Boissevain


Visited the Bell Farm on April 6, 1885 - Daniel Gideon Boissevain was born in the Netherlands, and joined the Boissevain and Company banking business. He moved to the United States, where he became an investment banker in New York.

(Part of a party of financiers who visited the Bell Farm on April 6, 1885 including: Adolphe Boissevain, George Harris, John Tupper, Gerrit Vis, and Daniel Boissevain.) He also visited Montreal in 1938 and recalled his trip to the Canadian West, although the year is listed as 1889 instead of 1885.
