Visited the Bell Farm on September 14, 1884 - Boyd Dawkins (1837-1929) was a Professor of Geology(Owen's College),Member of the British Association, Geological Survey of Great Britain and Curator of the Manchester Museum. Boyd was a geologist and archaeologist noted for his study of fossils and the antiquity of man.
