ROGERS, Robert Zacheus

Bell Farm Investor

Robert Zacheus Rogers (1842-1911) was involved in real estate development in what would later become Manitoba. He established the community of Milford which failed when it was bypassed by the railway in 1881.

Rogers also participated in the Fenian Raids and in 1885 became the Lt. Colonel of the 40th Northumberland Battalion Infantry Regiment.

In 1884 he is listed as being one of the minor investors in the Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company, holding only 40 shares, compared with Bell's 1100 shares.
